Mother's Day at the Boise Zoo

It was a beautiful sunny day... not to mention Mother's day! So we decided to go to lunch then to the zoo! I think EVERYONE in Idaho had the same idea! We drove around for 15 minutes to find a spot to park, then stood for 25 minutes just to get into the zoo! It literally was a zoo!! But after all that, we had a blast!

Claire's soccer season

Claire played her first (and probably only:( ) soccer season this spring! She really wasn't too into the game at the beginning- I think she just wanted pink soccer shoes, shin guards and a ball! She also really cared about the treats after the games too! However, she really became a great little player! She scored 5 goals!! I am really proud of her efforts! However, she calims that she is done- no more soccer for her! We will have to see!!:)

Take me out to the ballgame! Take me out to the crowd...

Garrett is in his first year of baseball! He has played t-ball for the last 2 years and it has KILLED him! He has been wanting to play a real game forever!! He has finally got his chance. He was so excited to wear his uniform, have a bag like the big kids and hit the ball! This year it is machine pitch- which is pretty cool. Everyone gets the same ball and everyone gets a chance to hit. The kids get 5 tries to hit the ball, and if they don't hit it, it is out! I love the fact he is learning how to play baseball- not just playing! He is having the time of his life! His team is pretty young and haven't played together before, but they are learning and improving!! I love watching him play!

Mud Pies anyone??

After the Mud Pie ("Easter Cake") was made!

A warm Saturday afternoon- there is nothing better than to play in the mud! Garrett and Claire played for hours (and actually got along!!) in the mud. Part of me (the part that can't stand my children dirty) hated it, but I let them have fun and enjoy one another's company. I did find it funny that Claire was in a skirt! Those are the memories they will always have and talk about when they are older. By the way- they were making an Easter cake...

The many faces of Anna!

Being a princess isn't all it cracked up to be!

First time in time out- Poor thing!

Pictures worth a thousand words!

Really? Is she ready?

Really? Is she ready? Really? She is 5 already and ready for kindergarten? Yep! As much as I don't want my babies to grow up- they always do. Today was the day that we registered Claire for kindergarten. It is really a mix of emotions for me- ones that bring tears to my eyes. I am sad to see her grow up and move on from preschool. It is sad to know that she is going to learn to read and write and do math. It is sad that she is becoming her own person and forming her own opinions about life. Yet, all of those things make me so happy! I want my children to grow up and be successful, I can't wait for her to learn to read, write and do some math. And most of all, I want her to become her own little Claire and develop her own opinions!

Yet, I am so excited to see her everyday at my school! As much as I LOVE her preschool- I have never been able to be that kind of parent that ever gets to be really involved. I don't know the kids, the parents and the routines. However, I will now! Well, on to another milestone in life (with happy sad tears attached)...

And all of this and she isn't even my baby!!??!!

8 years later...

Wow- where do the years go? 8 years ago today I married the love of my life. We have been through a lot (what marriage doesn't?), we have had good times and we have had bad times (but then again, what marriage doesn't?). Ryan is truly my soul mate... he is my rock, yet he is also my pillow, for those times I need some place to fall. We have produced 3 beautiful children from this marriage and I love more than I thought possible! Ryan's strengths are my weaknesses (budgeting money...) and his weaknesses are my strengths (spending money:) ) I love him more every day for the conversations we have, the fun we have and the laughter we share. Happy anniversary Ryan! I love you more today than I did 8 years ago!
