A fun (and successful) day at the zoo!

On Saturday, it was super sunny and beautiful- so we decided to go to the zoo! We had a lot of fun and all the animals were out soaking up some rays!

The wonderful part of our zoo trip was our giving up the binki!! Anna went to bed on Sunday night and we couldn't find her binki. I put her to bed and told her I would look for it. Anna fell asleep before I could find it. In the morning, I told her I couldn't find it. She looked at me and said "left at zoo, monkey have it!" So I went with it and that is the story! She hasn't had it since (she does ask occasionally if we can go back to the zoo to get the binki), and we are proud of her!

Anna think she is "4" and doesn't need a stroller anymore... so half way through the zoo, Dad became the stroller:)

Happy 6th birthday Claire!

Claire celebrated her 6th birthday on February 4th! We had celebration after celbration for little Claire Bear.

It started out at Red Robin on the night 0f her birthday. Then we had a small party for her at home on a Friday night. Then on Valentine's day we took her and a friend to Chuck E. Cheese. She had a great time celebrating ALL month long!

Claire DID NOT want anyone to sing Happy Birthday to her (I am sure she is not related to me!), but she will do just about anything for sweets- so she was a sport and let them tie balloons around her stood up on the chair for the world to see!

What a wonderful little girl Claire has become! She does try our patience every once in a while, but we love her more and more every day! I love you Claire Bear!

Happy 8th birthday Garrett!

Garrett turned 8 on January 3rd. We had a fun party for him at Wahooz! Fortunately, his friends from school showed up this time and they all had a great time!

I love this kind of party since I do nothing (except pay the bill, of coure:) )! No prepping, cleaning or baking (except for the cupcakes)!

Time sure does fly... I can remember like it was yesterday, the moment he came into the world weighing a mere 6 pounds, 6 ounces, doctors wondering if he would be OK, and I was in complete shock! I hope I can remember forever that wonderful feeling of becoming a mommy for the first time! Happy 8th birthday, Garrett! I love you more and more each day!

A new member of our family...

Anna's favorite thing in the world is ANIMALS! Every kind, shape and size...
She calls cats "meowme's" and dogs "foofs"!
Her favorite "meowme" is our kitty "Buddy". She can't walk past him without mauling him and giving him all kinds of kisses.

He is usually patient and will put up with a little bit of Anna- but typically gets up and runs away within minutes of Anna screaming "MEOWMEE"!!

A little fishin' fun!

How do you keep 3 kids quiet, calm and still for a period of time?
You DON'T take them fishing!

Garrett has been asking to go fishing for a while. So we decided to give it a try and make it a family outing!

Well, FUN it was for the kids. Productive, it was NOT!

We didn't catch any fish, but the kids had fun climbing, exploring and playing with worms!

In all, Garrett got what he wanted, and the girls got to experience what we decided should be a boy trip- FISHING!
